Noise! Heat! Can't see!

Oh man! Where do I start?! I have stayed at this particular hotel for years. Always pretty satisfied, until this last stay. I made my reservations about a week and a half out. Got in late this night, like after 9pm. I knew I was in trouble after checking in and being given my key to the room when the front desk person said "oh wait" and walked in to the backroom and came out with a little bag and told me that I might need these...they were damn EAR PLUGS! She said because my room was above the night club that I might need them. Didn't even know there was a club there. Then I got up to the second floor where my room was I notice that it was down a long hallway with in-closed windows on the outer side of the hallway and all the rooms were on the opposite of the outer windows. My room so happened to be a room with a window that when the curtains pulled all you saw was a wall... a wall of the hallway. Finally, it was warm in El Paso Tx. The first thing I did was to lower the temperature of the room. It was hot in there when I first opened the room door. After a good amount of time that went by, I checked the thermostat and it read 75 degrees. Lowered it even lower to 60. Another half hour went by and the thermostat still read 75! Went down to the front desk and showed them a picture I took of the thermostat and the young lady said to me "because we have a lot of elderly staying with us the air conditioner was set to not go any lower. What the crap?! I'm older, but I can't sleep with a temperature of 75 degrees and a loud nosier unit blowing all night! There was still more, but these issues were the worst! No more Best Western Minus for me. less
