It is difficult to maintain composure in the midst of the current conflicts both over masks and with regard to treating all people with respect and dignity. The staff at the best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn handled all people really well and respectfully. In one particular situation where a woman who defed the mask mandate came and stood right next to me. I was disturbed by that. The front desk (in this case I believe the head of housekeeping), just kindly and gently asked if she wanted a mask. She had already raised her voice about being 100% American. I don't believe being an American will keep you well, but perhaps a strong defiant attitude will. Anyway, I was irritated, but the front desk person both settled the other person and let me feel relaxed that everyone was doing the best they could. Kudos to the staff at BW Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn for keeping the hotel clean and the staff and guests as safe as possible. less

I can certainly understand why that situation would make most people uncomfortable, and I'm happy that our head housekeeper was able to step in and resolve it to everyone's satisfaction.
