Great check-in experience with Brianna, comfortable and restful room during our stay, and special kudos to the hard-working breakfast staff, delivering guests a hot breakfast on request despite distancing restrictions. The scrambled eggs and bacon were excellent, for a free hotel breakfast. Only drawbacks were a bedroom blackout curtain that wouldn't fully close (seems these never work right) and most concerning, several hotel guests and a hotel staff member not wearing masks in common areas, despite a state requirement. The non-masked guests seemed mostly from a team of contractors staying at the hotel long-term, while the unmasked staff member, an administrator, was walking in the hallway to the front office. We get it's tough (but not impossible) to enforce mask-wearing among guests, but it really needs to be consistent among guests AND staff, or else guests will wonder what else staff members aren't doing that they should be doing.... less

Dear Sean M, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am happy to hear you enjoyed your accomodations and the comfort of your room. We value your feedback and aim to provide our guests with a safe and comfortable stay. While COVID-19 has caused us to make amendments to our hotel’s services and offerings for your safety and wellbeing, our hotel continues to look for ways to improve our guests’ stay. Pease know that the health and safety of our guests remain paramount, and as such, we were among the first in the industry to roll out standards and best practices to enhance our cleaning protocols at the start of COVID-19. We take several steps in encouraging our guests and staff to keep themselves safe, as well as to be conscientious of others' safety, without being confrontational. I am terribly sorry on behalf of those that, for health or personal reasons, opt out of wearing the mask. Our hotel prides itself on embracing BWH Hotel Group’s We Care Clean™ initiative, and our trained staff are committed to ensuring the highest cleanliness standards recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. We hope that you will visit us again the next time you are in the Chippewa Valley.
