Mother daughter trip to enjoy Wild Food Dinner at Eagle Mushroom Festival. Booked a King/Double Queen Suite. When we checked in, we immediately noticed there was no power to the Queen Suite. We called to report, and requested that perhaps we could move rooms, as we were needing to get ready for our function. We were told the maintenance person was off the property, that they would report it, and that there were no other rooms available. Maintenance person showed up after about an hour, and indicated it was a breaker issue. He showed me how to reset it "if this happens again". He was friendly, and we were optimistic that the problem was resolved. Arriving back at the property late that evening from our event, the power was out again. We called the front desk, and the young woman tried to help us, but she did not have access to the room on our floor where the breaker switch was located. She said "so sorry" and left us to deal with the dark room. The double queen section of suite (#248) is entered by a stair within the suite. Everything was pitch black, including the staircase and my daughter had trouble finding what she needed to get ready for bed. Room was stuffy, as the a/c could not run. She opened a window, and noticed the lack of screens, which made for an unsettling night. The next morning I asked again for assistance and was told the maintenance person had his day off and no one who knew how to address this was going to be in that day. The same young woman let me know that she tried to flip a circuit on the first floor after leaving us the night before. Unfortunately it did not correct the issue. The property appears clean and the staff try to be helpful, but they were unfortunately not able to resolve our issue. I would not recommend staying here unless they address what appear to be power surge issues and address the staffing issues or provide proper training to deal with potential maintenance issues. I have reached out to the manager of the property to request a refund. less
