Make no mistake, I recommend this hotel, however there are a few things a traveler should keep in mind at this hotel. The good news is that the hotel has easy access to the highways, all the amenities were there such as restaurants, shopping, fuel, and it was easy to find. The staff was attentive and friendly and check-in and check-out was a breeze. The room was clean enough for my wife and I and, overall, we have no major complaints.
Here's the fine print...The breakfast was okay, but no great. By example, we stayed there three days and every morning they ran out out of bananas and on the second day, they cut-off the orange juice one-half hour early. The breakfast changed a bit every morning and on the third day, they had biscuits and gravy, but the biscuits were stale. I just had to throw out the stale one, but once I found one that was not stale, it was very good.
The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The room, however, had a few nuances that a traveler should keep in mind. The lighting is in all the corners and, unless there is daylight and the curtains are open, the room is quite dim. There is a desk lamp so if a traveler needs to read something, that really is your only option.
This may sound like a gripe, but it's not; the water came out really hot with a lot of water pressure. I just assumed that the water would take a while to heat-up, so I got in the shower and turned the shower head down and the water came out hot and fast. They had a shampoo, conditioner and soap dispenser in the shower which I really appreciated. Another oddity is that, due to the high water pressure, the shower curtain would not stay in the tub and the water would spray onto the bathroom floor. Once I figured that out I just put an additional towel on the floor. Speaking of towels, they were clean and plentiful, but the face clothes had minor stains on them. It appeared that someone used them to clean-up wine or coffee and the staff could not get them 100% white again. They were clean and smelled fresh, but had stains.
The bathroom was a bit small, but I had no problem with it. If I was a big guy, it might be a problem, but it was not an issue for me.
I slept really well, but my wife did not and she complained of her allergies kicking-up because of the room. As I write this review, my wife says that she really liked the room, but she acknowledges that she is allergic to almost everything...including me.
The room was quiet, in spite of being next to a highway. We never heard the traffic out side.
The elevator is the slowest elevator I have ever been on! By example, on our way back up to our room, I went and got coffee and breakfast while my wife waited for the elevator. We still rode up together...
For the overall value of this hotel, we will definitely stay there again. less
