Really more like a 2.5 for me

A few steps above a Motel 6 or Econo Lodge. If you pay about $80 a night (with a bidding site) you feel OK about this purchase. If you end up paying closer to $126 you will feel ripped off. Once you leave the lobby & dining area much of it seems worn out, faded. Odd rug odors seemed to permeate different floors. But first the basics: Comfortable bed, quiet AC, large rooms, EXCELLENT FRONT DESK SERVICE, nice continental breakfast with hot items. Small fitness center, computer are for business. I did not feel nervous about parking our car out front. The location isnt bad for getting in to Boston or Worcester, about 45 minutes. Did not check out the pool since it was Sept.
Now the negatives: Stains on our bedding, places where things were removed from the walls had wholes and crumbles, the halls look like institutional dorms from 1950, hair left in our shower.
Not the hotels fault, but I feel compelled to advise people:
1.Numerous times did we see guys walking around covered in tatoos with no shirts on, sometimes smoking outside the hotel. 2. Someone on our floor was smoking pot and the smell drifted under everyone's door. 3. Someone on our floor had a little party with middle eastern music and spicy food. I grew up near NYC so I'm well accustomed to this. I don't mind it if I'm throwing the shin-ding, but wouldnt do that at 1 am when others are trying to sleep in a hotel.
So to wrap up, I guess this place is OK for a quick stay on a budget. But keep in mind that either the location, or price, seemed to attract a certain clientele the night we were there. Felt a bit shady. It's not really the hotels fault, so I bumped this up a notch to 3 stars. We probably will not stay there again. Also, they are undergoing renovations so I think improvements are on the way. less

We try our best to make sure every guest is 100% satisfied with their stay and clearly we didn't put our best foot forward to make this happen. We thank you for your wonderful comments about our staff and I'm glad you were able to enjoy our hot, complimentary breakfast in the am. We believe these are our biggest drivers here at the hotel and believe they are a huge asset to what makes our hotel stand out from others in the Chelmsford area. We are reviewing all of the areas you had mentioned during your stay and we are working diligently with our maintenance and housekeeping staff so we may improve on these issues before they become "larger than life." As you mentioned, our hotel has currently wrapped up renovations to our lobby and breakfast areas and so many more are soon to come! I really hope in the future you will consider staying with us again so we may have the chance to redeem ourselves and have a better opportunity to provide you with a better service.
