I always call ahead and ask about parking for our truck and camper. The woman at the front desk told us there was a 'large parking lot' in the back of the property. There was not. It was a smallish parking lot with a lot of construction items in it. (Dumpster, storage containers, large vehicles)
And I also asked if the the driveway went all they way thru to the road. I was told it did. It did not. I'm not sure of this particular employee has ever seen the back parking lot.
Thankfully there were a few helpful gentlemen there to help my husband get the truck & camper in the parking lot and turned around so we could get out in the morning. H
we known ahead of time about the size of the parking lot, we would have stayed some where else.
The hotel is under renovation & that is just fine. What isn't fine is selling a room that isn't finished. We were told at check-in there wasn't another room available even though I had called well in advance as was told there were several rooms available.
It was mostly clean although there was plaster dust and scraps on the floors as well as nails & screws on the floor and counters.
The sheets on the windows were shredded (not exaggerating) and we had to move some of the furniture. Desk, chair & easy chair were all in the middle of the room.
I expect Best Western Plus to be a step above. This was clearly not. less
