Not sure how or what gives this hotel a Plus rating. We stayed for 4 nights and never experienced a Plus. We are Diamond reward members, so when we booked this Plus hotel our expectations were predicated from other Best Western Plus hotels. We arrived early evening and the young man behind the desk was not the happy employee. He barely spoke as he checked us in. Okay, everyone has a bad day. And, we typically get a room upgrade, maybe this courtesy is specific to certain hotels? I’m not sure. On we go, from mediocre to “oh no”! Our king room was small and oddly shaped. We were given a room right next to the elevator (oh joy!), so the room had a long entrance hall with a small space for the bed and the typical pieces of furniture. The room is just flat out awkward. But it appeared to be clean although the carpet is worn. The bathroom walls had toothpaste splatter and dirty hand prints. Uck. And the tiled shower had mold in the grout with a shower head in need of deliming. Yes disappointing. But the clincher was the shower itself. The shower stall was deep. So deep that you couldn’t turn on the water without getting drenched with a blast of cold water. After a couple of days we developed a technique to use the towel to hit the faucet, get the water started and then bolt before getting wet. Oh yeah, and we only got 2 towels each day. Yep, it was that kind of visit. Never again. less
