A miserable night in an expensive but very cheap hotel.

I checked in the hotel, started moving into my room, then realized the room was cold, Ice cold. Told the manager he simply said to turn on the heat!, I told him I did and the heat dues not work and he should have checked the room before sending in guests. Finally relucrtantly he told me to use another room, but since it was still being cleaned I had to wait an hour. So I waited an hour until he called me and said the room is ready. So I moved into this second room with my boxes of books and suitcases. Just to find out the small refrigerator, and microwave in the room didn't work at all. I called him again and he said to turn on the frig and wait. I tried it and waited two hours, nothing happened. So I called the front desk again and this time a woman answered and told me the same thing to turn it on and wait. I went to her desk and told her this was not acceptable and I needed both the frig and microwave . She said the manager is out of reach and if I don't like it I can leave and she will refund my money that I had paid for a seven night stay - over $600 . So I went to my room loaded all my stuff and was leaving the hotel to go somewhere else. So I asked her to refund my money. She shamelessly said she will charge me $94 for one night and refund the rest. I told her that is not what she told me few minutes ago but she was insisting to charge me $94 for the night even if I had left. So I decided to stay in the same room but keep my medicine and things that needed a refrigerator in my car since out side was very cold. Thar night and early morning I had to make several trips to my car for my medicine. That was a miserable night in a hotel that the manager and staff were very dishonest people and pure liers. Shame on them and the Best Western for hiring such low life people to run the hotel. I expected much more than this from the Best Western. less
