I am writing this review to warn other people so they don't have to experience what my family did. Before I start with my story I will say that the man at the front desk was very polite and helpful and my girls loved the pool, and we thought our room was very nice and clean, BUT key word was thought!!!!!
On Wednesday Feb. 6th 2019 we where travelling from Saskatchewan to Ontario for a family emergency and stopped in Brandon, Manitoba for the night, we thought the best western plus would be a good choice and for $180 a night we figured it would be a nice safe clean place for our girls to play and stay.
Well that was until morning time anyway, as we where cleaning up to get ready to leave my husband checked under our bed to see if anything got shoved under there, and what he found was a disgusting used needle with NO cap on it.
We couldn't believe it, so my husband went to the front desk and was furious about the situation, And the only thing the guy could say was (was there a cap on the needle?) and oh im sorry sir ill give you 25% off your room,
REALLY? the health and safety of our children is what our concern was, we based our decision on staying here because of there name and reputation, well you can be damn sure we will never stay there again, Thank god our youngest did not find that needle as any baby, she probably would have stuck that dirty needle in her mouth,
If you notice in the one picture where my daughter is standing at the side of the bed, well that is exactly where the needle was pointing outwards, if she would have stepped any closer she would have pricked her toe with it,
The room number we stayed in was 110,
before posting on here I read through what others had to say, and saw that the management was quick to say excuses for things that other people had complained about, So I am just saying this now,
If the management at this hotel replies to this review DONT YOU DARE have any excuse for why this may have happened, because there is no excuse for this AT ALL, and especially when you have children staying in those rooms, or anyone for that matter. There is no excuse for why those beds are not cleaned under after every guest and this situation just proved that they don't. less

Firstly, I want to apologize for your experience here and I am going to refund the entire amount of your stay. I know this in no way makes up for what happened and I will not offer an excuse as you said there is no excuse to what has happened. I do want to tell you that since we heard about this, we have done a inspection of the entire hotel and also a deep cleaning. We have a room check procedure in place but we have placed a greater focus and increased the amount of time that the inspection is allowed.
This does not change what happened but we have a plan going forward to make sure that does not happened again.
