I stayed with my family at the BW Plus Bayshore Inn in early March for an extended weekend getaway in extreme Northern California. The property is adjacent to Broadway/US 101 but most of the rooms are set back from the road (more on this in a minute). It's about a 10 minute drive to Downtown Eureka, and the Bayshore Mall is just next door.
I booked a suite with a king bed in the main room and a queen bed in an adjacent room. I was a little concerned when the front desk clerk said the room was on the first floor of the building closest to Broadway/US 101 but it turned out the room was far enough that there wasn't any road noise. I also didn't hear any noise from our neighbors upstairs or next door, but I don't know if that's because the suite was soundproofed well or if we had no neighbors during our stay. The suite itself had plenty of room for the four of us, although I wished there was a comfy chair to sit in while reading.
Breakfast was decent--the dining area never got crowded in the two days we ate there--but the coffee (available 24/7 in the lobby) left a lot to be desired. The other main reason I chose this property was because it had an indoor pool. Actually, that's a bit of a misnomer because the pool is one of those indoor/outdoor affairs, and it turned out my kids forgot to pack their swimsuits, so I didn't try it out (that and I didn't feel like crossing the parking lot to get to it when it's 45 degrees outside), but it and the hot tub did look inviting. less
