After we checked in, we heard a crying baby and the parents talking. It was very loud. We thought we didn't close our door. I checked it twice and our door was closed tight. We had to ask to change the room. Then, we were moved to be next to the gym. I was told that all of their best rooms (with King size bed) are all on the first floor. After moved out of that we realized that we left our phone charger in the previous room. When we asked the front desk, she said the room was occupied and there is nothing they can do. There was no sign of willingness to help us to find our charger. During the night, we heard people jumping and banging their doors constantly. The noise seemed to travel from the room above us. We were woke up many times that night by the noise. Besides, in the morning the breakfast area was full. Not enough tables and chairs for guests to sit. Guests had to wait in a long line in order to be seated. We finally left to eat somewhere else. Paying for more than $300 for that night with this horrible experience. less
Hotel M, Guest Relations Manager at Best Western Plus at Lake Powell, responded to this review
Dear Richardi217: Thank you for your comments. We regret our hotel did not meet your expectations. We have noted your comments and will be reviewing them at our next management meeting. During peak tourist season, it is difficult for the hotel to switch rooms after a certain hours as other guests have checked into their rooms. We are sorry this was not properly communicated to you. It is also during this period when shared hotel public areas are also popular with other hotel guests, e.g., pool and breakfast area. During slower tourist season, the hotel is less crowded as is with all area attractions. We hope you are able to come back and visit us during quieter periods in Page, AZ.. Thank you.
