I was very pleasantly surprised that our king room far exceeded our expectations. It was a large suite showing almost no wear and tear. There was the bed and a desk on one end, a couch, settee, small table and two chairs in the middle, a wet bar with a microwave and a dorm-room sized fridge past that, and finally a closet, vanity shelf, and the bathroom. The bathroom had dispensers for hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, so you don’t even need to pack anything. I liked the bed, but Hubby thought it was a little hard. There were 6 pillows, so you can have a few or a lot, depending on what you like. I remarked to my husband that if this was L.A., it would have been a $300 room.
Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We didn’t get up in time for free breakfast, but they have free coffee all day. The push-button coffee machine dispensed regular or decaf in strong, medium, or light, and hot water for tea. The “business center” is just two computers, but they were working great and the computer chairs were comfy. They even had a small lending library of books. Wi-Fi in the hotel was free, fast, and strong.
My only quibbles were with housekeeping. I left the card on the pillow to get clean sheets, but they just remade the bed. Also, one of our bath towels had a hole. Not a little hole - I could put my fist through it. I can’t quite figure out how no one noticed that when they folded it. But, everything in the room was very, very clean, so I can’t complain.
I had family staying next door at the Holiday Inn, and their room cost more, was much smaller, and really looked beat up. The two hotels are right next door. You want the Best Western. less
