I would like to describe just my point of view. I don't like to write stories like this, but as I alone work in customer service area and I studied management..I just cannot stay calm and I will let everybody know How it works here.
This hotel Best Western Aero 44 is not even the standard We meight be used to experience in other BW hotels.
It is a simple 3 star hotel close to the airport Charleroi. The Rooms in old building are renovated, stinky, small , tiny and the bathroom- veeery small - really one night stay is ok, not more. You might consider A/C as benefit. In the new building there are so called apartments with small kitchen and bigger bathroom and there is also a sofa in front of tv. But you pay a bit more.
As I work as crew the company pays this hotel because it is close to airport, so the aim of my stay is business. But I usually stay for 2 weeks and afterwards I will comeback, so I will come back for couple of months during 2017.
The restaurant may offer a tasty dishes but on the other hand the order take them sometimes more than an hour and it comes with a feel of unwelcome smile. The reception is also not really helpful - some of them (very nice and kind) are new (what I fully understand) but they cannot 100% help you.. and than you talk to "so called" manager - a women who is smiling at you of course "friendly" and just maybe she will answer your questions..but don't do it!! believe me IT DOES DISTURB her when people are asking something- she complains afterwards as we are disturbing her! It was not only me asking for advice..or any possible change. Even If you just kindly asks something, maybe even twice or three times - I recommend NOT to do it.
On my previous stay We had also a serious problem as they accommodated us in rooms which were lately painted and the smell of chemicals was terrible and intolerable- and she looked at my face and said: they were painted lately but it s ok now..and as I asked one of the receptionist If he/she will pay a night in such a room she/he answered NO! ..but the "manager" lady did not mention that couple of days ago she argued with other colleagues of mine about the same and they had to menace with criminal report if they will not change their rooms.
At the beginning of the contract couple of weeks ago "the manager" lady said the gym will be ready in one month as they have just started to build it from 2 rooms in the ground floor. Since beginning of may nothing has changed..I've seen it yesterday - It looks still after a bomb attack and she said : it takes a month to finish AS THEY NEED TO order the equipment 😄😄😄 I guess they will finish once we will be done with our Business in Brussels. And there is no place to do your exercise, you can go for a run around the airport via highway!It is really disturbing If you have to stay here longer, there are no facilities around and the staff is so unfriendly.
After evaluation of all mentioned facts this is not "guest friendly" behavior and If I have the choice I would have leave ASAP! I must mention that there are also a few very nice staff - cleaning ladies, breakfast and some receptionists.
And there were more occasions like this which I will rather not mention just be aware of "mock" persons in this hotel! And my advice, if you have other choice rather choose another hotel. less
