Quite dreary from the outside, fag ends around front door don’t give a good impression. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food at dinner and breakfast was very good, plenty of choice, cooked fresh and piping hot. What lets this hotel down is the attention to basic detail staircase carpets un hoovered and stair treads badly marked with food debris, stairs looked as though they hadn’t been hoovered or cleaned for quite a while. I was thinking what is the bedroom going to be like if public access isn’t clean.Bedroom was fair enough size,bed clean and comfy. Heating ver warm but is adjustable,loads of hot water, shower powerful,bathroom cleanliness would not pass any scrutiny whatsoever, Bath was old and stained, tiles mouldy in places and horror of horrors “hairs on floor “
Overall okay for a business stop, the food was really very good and no issues with any of the staff. Not expensive however feel that housekeeping need a talking to! This would improve overall impression. less
