First impressions of the hotel were good. Nice lobby. That quickly turned when we met the desk clerk. See, I'm from the south, friendliness is in our blood. She was the grumpiest person ever. Said we were to blame for not requesting rooms close together. Okay. Fine. Made me sign a no smoking agreement... Okay I don't smoke. Well, guess what, my room smelled like an ash tray. What's the point of the no smoking agreement? Yuck. Other than that, it was clean.
We get settled in for the night. No problems there. Next thing we know, fire alarm at 4:50 a.m. We watched and waited and never saw a fire truck or anything. It was turned off after about 6 minutes. Okay back to sleep. Then at 5:50 a.m. it goes off again. This time we're up. Why bother gong back to sleep? Again, no fire trucks. No hotel staff around, noting. Get to breakfast. Breakfast was okay. They only have 1 waitress, but of course, the entire hotel is having breakfast at 6:15 because of the stupid fire alarms. Upon check out, the desk clerk didn't say anything about our wake-up call. No apologies, nothing. Rude.
Oh yeah, and the pool was closed for unscheduled maintenance. Don't recommend. less
