I chose this hotel based on the reviews here on Trip Advisor. When we pulled up we began wondering if I'd made the right decision. Dated color mauve, backdoor entrance wasn't inviting. But the room was super! Two queens, very nice large recliner, two regular chairs and one computer/desk chair. Two tables, one to eat on and a nice computer desk to work on. A wet bar area with nice size refrigerator, sink and microwave. Plenty of room to move around.
We were tired from our trip and didn't want to search for a place to eat so we ate at the new in-house restaurant, Lupe's. American & Mexican foods. Nice selection. My husband got the BLT with sweet potato fries and I got the one pork chop, sauteed carrots and zuchinni and garlic mashed potatoes. Great flavors and presentation. They have a lovely atrium, an indoor pool (which no one was using during the time we were there).
Everyone was very friendly; however, the waitresses having their children present during the late lunch/dinner was distracting. One even hauled her little boy into the kitchen area to discipline him. Not appropriate for a restaurant. When we'd first arrived, we had to pass through at least 5 people smoking in the small area by the front door. Nasty for a restaurant.
Our free breakfast was great. We had seven choices, made to order which worked out great. Good cooking. I stuck my head around the corner of the kitchen to compliment the chef.
I would go back for the pool and general ambience (hoping smoking will not be present). A winter trip would be great. less
