I stayed one night while on business in Parker. I checked in just after 6:00 p.m. on a Wednesday night. At check-in, Lisa told me the only rooms available were on the second floor and, sorry, but there is no elevator. Not sure if you reserve in advance and request a first floor room, that the request will be honored at check-in so if stairs are an issue, you probably should call and speak with the manager.
The non-smoking room (#217; $99.00 rate) was nicely appointed with a king bed, sofa, coffee table, three-drawer dresser, flat screen TV (with DirecTV and local channels from Phoenix; the channel directory can be found in the nightstand where remote was located), small refrigerator-freezer, microwave, coffee maker and desk with chair (although the chair, at maximum height, was still way too low for the height of the desk). The TV remote was in a “fresh remote” bag. Wifi is free in the room and seemed to work well. For those traveling with someone, a nice feature of the room is the separate sink outside the bathroom with a hair dyer mounted on the wall. The bathroom smelled of bleach and it appeared very clean. There was an ironing board, iron and plenty of hangers in the one closet. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. No shower mat is available (one of my pet peeves), but the shower floor was not slippery so a shower mat was not needed. Another nice feature was the “comfort height” toilet in the bathroom. There is plenty of parking and it looked to me that if you have a large RV or vehicle with a trailer, that there was an area next to the motel where you could park a longer/larger vehicle.
I saw a computer and printer in an area adjacent to the small lobby as well as a small exercise room. I didn’t use either one during my short stay.
Along with an envelope to leave a tip for the housekeeper (let me know if anyone does this for an overnight stay; I’ve done it when I’ve stayed at a hotel for a week or more), there was a notice of the price you will be charged should you decide you want to keep something from the room. (See photo.)
There are a number of restaurants within walking distance of the motel including Mayas Restaurant and Sports Bar directly across the street where I ate dinner (see separate review). Menus of various restaurants are available for review at the front desk and several offer discounts for Parker Inn guest. (For example, 10% off at Mayas and 20% off at the Burger King right next door to the motel.)
Complimentary breakfast is served between 4:00 and 9:00 a.m. on weekdays. The breakfast room is not inviting, but does have a TV (it was tuned to a news channel) and several tables. The buffet included scrambled eggs (lukewarm), bacon, sausage, a waffle maker, cereal, rolls, juices, coffee and tea. Certainly better than paying $10 or more for breakfast at a restaurant and its convenient.
Parker is located in La Paz County, a county created in the 1980’s from what some say is “land that Yuma County didn’t want.” While large geographically, the county’s population is 22,000 or less. I’m assuming that because of its size, the large motel/hotel operators such as Marriott, Hilton, Holiday Inn, aren’t found in Parker. I spoke with several locals, and they told me that Parker Inn is considered the best motel in town if you want a smoke-free facility. If you don’t mind cigarette and cigar smoke, they recommend the Blue Water Resort and Casino as an option. So, if you want a comfortable room in a no frills facility and don’t mind the lack of an elevator, I recommend Parker Inn for your stay in Parker. less

Yes it is true we do offer Truck/RV parking across the street, and it is very convent to the lobby of the hotel. I'm so happy to hear that you were able to enjoy our breakfast before heading out for the day. We do offer a variety food, and there should be something on the breakfast for everyone. I'm also happy to hear that our staff was able to helping out in finding. Yes it is true that we do not have an Elevation however even with that being said once you make a reservation fell free to call us and let us know you would like a downstairs room.
