As I travel with large show dogs, I called this hotel before booking my reservation to ensure my Newfoundland would be welcome and to ensure I would have a large room. When I checked in, I was told that the only larger rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. The staff very kindly offered to help me lug everything upstairs, but it was still a major inconvenience. Then my second night there, as I was heading upstairs with my dog, the woman at the front desk asked how much my dog weighed. I told her 140 pounds and she informed me that this property has a 70-pound weight limit for dogs (which is ridiculous and discriminatory). I replied that I had called and been told he would be OK, that he is a show dog that I travel with frequently and we mostly stay at Best Westerns. Then I got up to my room, which I had left about noon to find a note stuck in the lock slot that my room had not been serviced because the "Do Not Disturb" sign must be "removed between 8AM and 12PM. As I prefer a hotel with an elevator that doesn't dictate what size dog I have and what hours I should be in my room, I'll find other accommodations the next time I visit Parker, AZ. By and large, I've had very good luck with Best Westerns, but this was one of the few exceptions. I'll stick to Best Western Plus or Best Western Premium from here on out. less

I am a dog lover as well never leave home without her, however our Hotel does have weight restrictions on pets coming into the Hotel.
With your pet weighing 140 this is actually double the limit permitted. We here at Best Western Parker accommodate pets and pet lovers on a daily basis.
At check in you did not have your Pet with you so my Front Desk was not able to observe and evaluate the pet checking in. We did honor your reservation as well as extended your stay for you. I do apologize that our Housekeeping procedures did not meet your schedule, with 44 rooms at this location I do not have evening Housekeeping available.
