On a recent return trip to Paris, we stayed one night at the Best Western Louvre Opera before taking the train to LeHavre for a cruise departure. I chose this hotel based upon the excellent location and the positive reviews. It did not disappoint. The street is short and the taxi had a little trouble finding the place at first, but that made it quiet and we did not have traffic noise. It is very close to a Metro station. We walked to the Opera and later we walked the other way, down to the Louvre and the Seine. It is a very safe neighborhood. We enjoyed dinner at a nearby Korean restaurant. The hotel is diminutive. Everything is laid out to maximize the use of space. The front lobby attendants were very friendly, and they directed me to the nearby Monoprix where I bought some wine.
The breakfast area is banquette seating in the lobby area. I enjoyed ham, croissants, fruit, and the other breakfast offerings.
Our room was on the 2nd floor. They do have an elevator. There are several rooms near each other, but with an extra security door. The room was on the smaller side, as is typical in Paris, but this one was delightful and we had everything we needed, including coffee, TV, hair dryer, and a window we could open. They called a taxi for us in the morning, and it is only about 10 minutes to Gare St Lazare.
Would definitely stay here again. less
