Hotels should be required to tell you when they are undergoing construction and remodeling. I understand that there is no good time for work to take place BUT until 8 at night? And on weekends? And without informing a guest in advance?!
Add to the noise a welder spraying sparks from the second floor balcony down on to guests walking into a door
And add to the total lack of sound proofing between rooms (particularly connecting rooms, I now know way too much about those folks).
The front desk was informed and notified the manager who promised to have the work halted by 5:15 on a Saturday. Work finally ended about 6 and not before a pipe was cut sending water down to a room on the floor below.
Just a bad experience all around. BUT, the staff (not the management) were competent, friendly and tried hard to do the right thing.
