Worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. When we first arrived the room had a terrible odor to it and had an overall sense of uncleanliness. There were stains on the bed's comforter. The tub had grime on the outside wall and some kind of gray stain on the bottom, I put a towel down to stand on while I showered because I had no idea what that staining was. The toilet lid was hanging off of one hinge. The mirror outside the bathroom had mold stains across the top 1/4 of the glass. The refrigerator had a used water bottle in the freezer compartment and had water pooling all over the bottom when we first opened it. The plate in the microwave had food stains on it. The TV would not change from the kids channel that it was turned to.
Considering we are in the midst of a glabal pandemic this is not the time to have to sleep and bathe in a dirty place, if anything it seems that most places are going overboard in cleaning so I was shocked at these conditions. less

Dear Ms. Beck:
We have received your complaints and rest assured they were aggressively
investigated. The room was inspected after it was cleaned by our housekeeping staff
by our head housekeeper. The maintenance person was asked to go in room and
As we follow Best Western housekeeping COVID-19 standards, each room is stripped and
cleaned and then put out of order and not rented for one day.
The room you stayed in had been rented 10 times in the month of December prior to
your state. Not one single complaint.
As to your complaints. We are sorry you felt your stay was not as you desired. We
strive to give each guest as pleasant a stay as possible.
Upon talking to the entire staff at the hotel on duty during your three (3) day stay
we were able to unfold the following:
You checked in, and never had any interaction with any staff member of Best Western
Paris Inn. You put a DO NOT DISTURB on your door and never had any housekeeping
during your entire stay.
You never spoke with the front desk, maintenance, or housekeeping, or member of
management about your complaints with the room.
If you had done any of the above, the room would have at the least been moved after
you approved the appearance of a new room. AND/OR the maintenance would have
addressed all issues you are complaining about, AND/OR housekeeping would have taken
care of all the issues.
Since you did not notify any staff of these issues, we find it hard to believe that
if the room was as "HORRIBLE" as you say, that you would not at least call front
desk, if for nothing else than to get staff to come look at the TV you say you had
to keep on the cartoon channel the entire time.
As we were not apprised by any means except your complaint after you departed the
hotel, we were not given any opportunity to rectify, if in fact, anything needed to
There were many remedies to all the issues you claim were wrong in your 'unclean'
room. We were not given the opportunity to do anything, yet you stayed in that room
for three (3) days in these 'unclean' conditions.
We sincerely hope, in the future, you give any hotel which you feel does not meet
your standards the opportunity to make your stay a pleasant one by calling front
desk, talking with housekeeping, asking for maintenance man. There are many ways to
handle all the issues you complained about, you did not do any of the above.
