The surroundings are UNSAFE! My credit card immediately went into a fraud alert when I arrived for check in. Then my boyfriend's card did the same thing. Booked 2 rooms both had issues right away. Grace the front desk person wanted to argue with me about the word "broken". I guess when the shower handles falls off that does not mean broken. And when the sliding glass door to our 1st floor room is off track and won't lock properly, that is also considered not broken according to Grace. Yes, they did fix the shower handle but as for the sliding glass door, they did not fix and maintenance said it was safe because it had a bar on it. I didn't agree someone could have just came right in. we did not sleep we stayed up until it was time to leave. Called BestWestern customer service and spoke to Freddie, he said it was a property issue and advised me to speak with the upper management there. There was only Grace, then I called back and asked for a supervisor and Freddie said NO and eventually hung up on me. After the 3rd call, I spoke with Danielle. She contacted Grace and said there were no other rooms because it was spring break. trust me there were no Spring Breakers and the parking lot was empty except for the partiers in the parking lot almost of the night and the door was safe. 2 days later I still have not heard from "upper management" of the property or Danielle from Best Western. We took pictures of the door, see attached. 120.00 per room was way too much for this place. Don't waste your money unless you like sleeping with the furniture piled up in front of the door. less

This customer presented multiple complaints for her stay, but it all seemed to stem from an incident at check-in. At check-in, her credit card was declined due to insufficient funds. She immediately became upset with our staff despite the problem being with her credit card. She kept expressing she had a lot of money in the bank while being rude and yelling profanities at the staff. She was advised to call her credit card company to resolve the issue. As this process took a long time, many other guests had to wait while she was trying to check in. Both her and her husband's cards were declined. This would obviously be a frustrating incident for anyone, but we should not be penalized for a customer's insufficient funds. After speaking with her credit card company, she had enough funds to cover 1 room and she used another credit card to cover the second room.
In regards to the shower, our maintenace man showed them how to use the shower and lock the sliding glass door. Both of these features were functioning normally when they checked in. She was also the only noise complaint during her stay time. We have security cameras in the parking lot that showed no parties and no other guests in all the sold out rooms had a noise complaint. Party ? outside temperature was 40 + degree cold
