We had a poor experience at this hotel. Probably the worst we have ever had at a Best Western (we are Platinum rewards members). We had booked for two nights, but needed to check out after the first night's stay. We requested a late checkout (with fee) for the first night, but our request was rejected. We were informed that we had to pay the FULL two-nights fee, regardless. This was even though the hotel was fully booked for the second night. We were "lectured" on the hotel's rules and informed that they would not make an attempt to "re-rent" the room for us. As senior citizens, we were "taken-back" by both the lecture and their inflexibility. We would have paid for the second night if they could not re-rent it, but this was clearly not an option they would consider.. We were given no choice, so therefore we checked out after one night and were charged for both nights (including all fees). We have to wonder, but will never know, if they re-rented the room for the second night.. less

I am sorry that your experience was not good. We did get the room serviced and tried to re-rent it. However, we ended up with a less than full hotel and were unable to move it. I apologize for the impression you had of receiving a lecture. We have discussed how better to approach this situation in the future.
Please accept our sincerest apology and thank you for being a loyal Best Western rewards member. Hopefully you will give us another chance to be better hosts on your next trip to Murphy.
