Housekeeping needs to do better

The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The room we used had a door going outside (which was nice as it rained a lot and we were able to park right in front of our door!) and a door going out to the main hallway. The room itself was tiny, way too small for a king size bed. Maybe one full size bed would have been better.
Housekeeping was meh. There was someone's hair all over the heat register in the bathroom and on the counter and in the tub. That is a particular pet peeve of mine. There was a large wet spot by the wall next to the nightstand. I told the checkout lady about the wetness and she said it could have been left by the carpet cleaners. It was soaking wet.
I was very happy that they did not charge us $20 for our dog (like Days Inn did), only $5. When we checked in, the delightful lady asked if we would please bring our dog to meet her because she had a treat. I had to decline the treat as our dog is allergic to grains. But what a nice gesture. And she loved up on our dog who was smitten.
Breakfast offerings were good. They had hot sausage gravy and biscuits, a waffle maker, bagels, many different cereals including a wonderful granola, yogurt, fresh fruit and I am sure I am forgetting some items. We were happy with yogurt mixed with the granola.
And most important, all security doors worked. We will stay here again. less

Thank you for going on Trip Advisor to write a review of our motel. I don't know if you advised the front desk of the problem of the hair that you saw in the room but if this ever happens again anywhere that you are staying please let the front desk know so they can either come down to take care of the problem or move you to another room. We absolutely would have taken care of this for you! Our goal is to have happy guests. Again, thank you for your review.
