I am a worldwide traveller, and have stayed in some of the great resort hotels of the world.
From the reservation staff, to the golf pro we had a fabulous stay at North Shore.
The FOOD WAS BETTER THAN EXCELLENT,for dinner, delicious wholesome starters and plump tasty steaks, cooked to perfection.
The Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand)was crisp and fruity and the crianza which I took with the excellent cheese board, was sublime.
The rooms are warm ,double glazed and perfectly comfortable with excellent beds, tv , tea ,coffee and chocolate all good quality.
As to the golf WOW !!what a super clever course, with great views out to sea,a true links course ,and so interesting.
The pro shop could not have been more accommodating, they were excellent.
To crown our perfect stay the weather was super ,with a light breeze and "The Simpsons"sky all day.
The breakfast was a great way to set us up for the day, with fresh juices, delicious eggs ,obviously free range, crispy bacon and wonderful coffee all served by willing girls with a great sense of humour and charm.
After the golf all 8 of us dined in the conservatory, the small fresh delicious haddock at £4.95 was world class ,and very welcome ,it was 8 degrees when we finally finished the golf.
To sum up a great hotel, willing staff, great value ,historic golf course
the only down side was I didn`t win the golf !! less
