Booked this afternoon for tomorrow. I returned a bed safe phone call at 8 pm to be told they won’t take booking as his manager said it was a domestic booking! What the? We are trying to support country areas and not use overseas booking services for our accommodation bookings. I will follow this up with Best Western as this is really appalling at this time of night I suggest not considering this motel. less

We are sorry to read this review and need to explain why we could not take this booking. We live in the motel and treat our guests as family. However, we are both in our 70s and need to be very careful in this era of COVID-19. When the crisis started we were only taking emergency workers but we have relaxed the policy since then. However, due to the recent ‘second’ outbreak in Melbourne we have followed the current directives from Murrumbidgee Health and the local Chamber of Commerce to decline to take non-essential bookings from Melbourne residents. We are sorry you were upset but at this time we must put our health and that of other Tumut residents ahead of revenue.
