We stayed at this hotel on our way from Colorado to Texas. It was a last minute reservation because our camper blew a tire and we needed a close place to stay for the night. We got in late, about 10:30, and had our two young boys with us. We’d been traveling all day and everyone was exhausted; our boys were almost asleep. The gentlemen who checked us in was very nice and made sure the Walmart Auto Center was open the next morning so we could get a new tire. We stayed on the 2nd floor and the room smelled of smoke when we walked in. Our boys were so exhausted and so were we that we decided changing rooms wasn’t convenient. We regretted it. It was hard to sleep in a smelly room and our hair and clothes all smelled of smoke the next morning. It was really evident after going to breakfast and returning to the room. Upon checkout I informed the lady at the front desk. She said a manager would contact me but since we booked through Hotels.com and not directly getting a discount/refund would be challenging. It’s a budget hotel and it would have satisfied our needs if not for the smoke smell.
Pros: friendly staff, decent breakfast and coffee (fresh strawberries for oatmeal or waffles), clean looking room, quiet, place for us to park our pop-up
Cons: horrible smoke smell in our room, lumpy pillows less
