Stayed overnight in a double room after a family do. Booking was easy and cheaper on the hotel's own website than on Booking.com or Trivago. Paid £52 for 2 including breakfast.
The front staff was friendly enough.
The room was clean on sight, with crisp white linen. The room was lovely and warm which was perfect because outside was freezing.
It was a small room with a tiny on suite which served its purpose very well. Free WiFi, Freeview TV, as well as an iron and board in the closet. What more could one ask.
I had a comfortable sleep, which was great because I often find it difficult to fall asleep in other beds.
Breakfast was served between 8-10 as it was a Saturday. This is where I was let down. There was self service, toast, cereal, pastries, tea and coffee etc. But some of the plates and bowls were not cleaned properly. The cutlery had a design on them which just made me feel like they Can't be cleaned properly (im funny like that, sorry). But that was it, my only gripe.
The cooked breakfast of smoked salmon on muffin was up to scratch. They also do full English.
Altogether a good stay.
Would go again. less
