I stayed on a business trip, this is my third visit in as many years. This year I was disappointed with a few things and the reaction when I raised it. I had a double bed made up of two beds. However one bed was 2 inches higher than the other creating a very uncomfortable ridge in the bed meaning I could only sleep one side so not a good night sleep with a ridge waking me up!
The floor boards- these need to be in the Guinness book of records for the noisiest floor ever. It was embarrassing to walk across the floor, every inch of the floor made a ridiculous squeak like something I've never experienced before, very awkward.
The walls to the bedroom were so thin I could hear every single word and movement ( including bodily) of the occupant next door. There was something about this hotel that took me back to the 1980s, including the crack in the faded plastic bath.
Breakfast was fine, but basic.
When I mentioned the bed and floor boards the receptionist smiled and looked at me with his lovely blue eyes and said sorry, well at these prices sorry is not quite enough. Makes sleeping in a premier Inn feel like 4 star!
