Today we checked in after enduring the heat wave in the Gard for ten days. There was a trickle of cool air in the room, but still 30. I asked the manager who rather smugly said that it would be working this evening. No such luck.he obviously had no idea. We called later in the evening and were told that the technician needed something that was not available.
Baloney. There is absolutely no excuse for a chain like BW to have A/C failure in July in Provence. This happened to us in early April when it was hot, and the lame excuse was that it was too early to run the air conditioning.
Guess what? We don’t sympathize with excuses. If it was economically too early, customers come first!
We didn’t even get an apology for the inconvenience and uncomfortable environment. BTW! The lobby and bar are nice and cool. Maybe we should camp out there.
So,although we have stayed here about three times yearly since 2015 (without any recognition), that’s enough....and we will not recommend Best Western anywhere, nor will we rebook.
I don’t post many negative reviews but this situation is pathetic less

Deeply sorry for the outside temperature near 40°...
AC is perfectly working now.
