I called ahead to confirm that the room would have an upholstered arm chair like you would find in a living room. This is important for us due to my husband's physical condition and one of the main reasons BW is our go-to brand - there rooms almost always have a chair or love seat. I was told there would be so I went ahead and booked the non-refundable reservation online. When we got to the room, there was only a desk chair. I called the front desk to ask about this and I was told a chair would be brought to us. While we were waiting on the chair to be delivered, I found water standing in the bathroom floor but not around the sink or tub, just a puddle in the floor. When the ladies brought the chair - which was not a real piece of furniture like I expected, it was like an office sitting chair or dining room chair - I showed them the water. I was told there wasn't anything that could be done about it that night and they weren't sure they had any other mobility accessible rooms. Since the puddle could be avoided, we said it would be fine. The ladies went to get extra towels so we could cover the puddle. While they were doing that, my husband set out to watch TV but the remote wouldn't work. Also during this time, the large family with children next door became quite loud. So, when the ladies returned with the towels, we showed them the TV problem. They were unable to get it to work and found that there was another mobility accessible room open at the end of the hall so they went to get us keys to that. We got settled into the new room - still without the side chair. My husband went to the restroom and we discovered that while in use, the toilet leaks - like a pool formed around his feet all the way around the toilet. There was also water standing in the tub because whoever cleaned it didn't pop the stopper back up properly. We'd had enough at this point and it was after 9 p-m so we just threw towels down and went with it. The next morning we learned the bracket that holds the handheld shower wand in place was broken. You couldn't stand under it like a shower head. You had to hold the wand to soak yourself, hang it back over the broken bracket with the water shooting at the wall while you soaped up, and then pick it back up to rinse yourself off. We didn't bother to eat breakfast - we just wanted to be out of there. I'm not giving up on Best Western but this was by far the worst stay we've ever had. I'd certainly pass this location up next time. less
