Firstly, it is important to mention that this is the only hotel in a small town. For us, the main memories that tend to stick about a hotel are its staff and the room. Our encounter with Best Western Hotel unfortunately started on a less-than-ideal note as we were asking that lady who first received us during our check-in about the Northern Light and let alone welcoming, she was neither friendly nor helpful in her responses. We had pretty high expectations of hotels in the Arctic Circle, after the hotel staff at Bodo told us that Hotel staff in Lofoten and Tromso would be most happy to share with us regarding the best conditions and places to see the Northern Lights. So this experience was especially disappointing for us. But on a more positive note, all the other staff seemed more friendly and helpful. And we were pleasantly surprised when the hotel provided laundry services at a nominal fee. The dinner at the restaurant in the hotel was fabulous and we enjoyed the food. As for the room, we were kind of disappointed when we first stepped in. But later we realized, the room itself was itself not too bad, just that there was this jaded and tired 1970s-looking sofa sitting in a corner that added decades to the way the room looked. A lady from reception even helped me to print my flight itinerary which emailed to the hotel even after telling me I could use the printer attached computer at the corner. Behind the hotel was a dark place, so we figured that if there was aurora activity, this spot could be a possible viewing location for the lights ... although we weren't that lucky when we the two nights we stayed there. less

First off all, thank you for taking the time to give us your opinions.
I am sorry your arrival was less than ideal. Our staff is known for their hospitallity and friendliness, so I don't know what happened here. I will off course follow up on this.
I am glad you enjoyed our restaurant, and that the rest off your meetings with our staff was more like we want it to be.
As for the rooms, I am happy to tell you that we will start renovating them this Winter, end we will put in new furniture.
I hope we will see you back here, and that you will see the Northern Lights then.
