Owner Response
Lansdowne1912, Owner at Best Western Lansdowne Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you for your review and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall. I will say that as a privately owned hotel (Best Western do not own the hotels) we have been investing heavily over the last 5 years. The ground floor in particular has seen our two function rooms completely refurbished and in November we refurbished our first lounge which has been very well received. As much as we would love to refurbish the whole hotel in one go, we simply do not have the budget to do so! I believe that although some bedrooms are slightly dated, they are all clean and well maintained. We have also just invested heavily in our plumbing system which now sees as expected water pressure in all bedrooms. We have 102 rooms and we have refurbished many of them, so next time you come, please do ask for a newly refurbished room. Our refurbishment programme is ongoing. Sorry to hear that the breakfast was not replenished in a timely manner. This is not the norm and I can only think that perhaps it was a very busy period at the time you came down to eat. We hope to see you again soon. Kind regards Catherine Clifford (Partner)
