Booked in at short notice on the Friday night, for 4 days starting Saturday. Very simple check in and we got room 51 (The Lovell Suite). What a wonderful room, not only a bedroom and bathroom but a lovely spiral staircase that takes you up to a very comfortable sitting room. Unfortunately the shower was over the bath which became an issue as my husband has limited mobility. We had to extend our stay and asked for a room with a walk in shower. No problem at all, we were given a ground floor room which was an added bonus. We have never used Best Western before, always choosing another chain hotel, which has never let us down, but - both rooms were absolutely spotless, bathrooms amazingly clean, top ups on toiletries, coffees, teas etc, no problems. Every member of staff was friendly and always had a cheery word. Elkie the lady on reception coped magnificently with all our chopping and changing. The bar meals were perfect, room service (extraordinarily speedy service) and the food could not be faulted. We had breakfast on 1 occasion and that too was excellent. The internet signal was very strong and of all the hotels we have stayed at it was by far the fastest and easiest I have ever used. I could go on and on but suffice to say we were very impressed, and as we were there for not the happiest of reasons, we would just like to thank all the staff from the bottom of hearts for making what was a very difficult time in our lives a whole lot easier by their friendliness. I have booked in for a further 4 night visit in a few weeks and will, no doubt, go there again but we have been converted and will always look at Best Western hotels for our future trips. less
