Smelly rooms and small beds!

While I will say that everyone was very nice and courteous, the room left much to be desired. As soon as we opened the door we were met with a gross smell- a mix of stale smoke and damp musk...even my 4 year old commented on how "yucky" the room smelled each time we went in (in fact his first comment when we got home was that he was glad he didn't have to sleep in that gross smell. The floor felt damp and we made sure to wear our shoes the whole time. I'm not sure what it was, but it was unpleasant. We did not say anything to anyone because we were already aware that both hotels in town were fully booked and we didn't have a choice, but it would make me hesitant to stay there again. less

I wish you came to front desk regarding your concern and we could offer you another room. As you know, you check in very early, so we could offer you another option instead of staying in that room and suffer during your one night stay. Every guest have different standard for smell in room. some guest like to have some sweet flavor room refreshment and some guest like to have linen flavor refreshment and some guest don't want any flavor but just fresh air refreshment. Hospitality business is very unique business where selling same product with different guest who all have different taste.so some guest feel very special and some guest unhappy. As long as guest come to us and let us know , we always try to accommodate our guest with their needs. May be room wasn't up to your standard but if you came to us we could resolve the issue by offering different room instead of taking assumption regarding our option to serve you.
You had choice to come to front desk and gave us chance to offer you another room , unfortunately you choose another option.
