Was pleasantly surprised upon arrival, location booked by another member of party, at the updated rooms since property was obviously an older one. However, the set-up of the hotel, old style of hotel surrounding outdoor pool meant that all highway noise (right next to interstate) seemed to come right into the room. Kept up all night with people taking on-ramp and police or other emergency vehicles sirens. Also, after making original booking, decided to stay additional night. Called directly to hotel, not 800 service, to book additional night. Told no problem. The day of my arrival checked the latest reservation email for hotel address only to realize my reservation had been changed to smoking room. When I called the hotel, told no more non smoking rooms available but not to worry, "that room didn't stink and he would have housekeeping spray some extra spray." It did stink. Disappointed that I wasn't informed during call to extend stay that it would mean moving to smoking room. less
