Unworthy stay: be ready to read long content.
I have booked the Deluxe Plunge Pool from booking.com for 4D3N as the online pictures and rates are very deceiving. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, which was around 11PM, I've got this eerie feeling across the alleyway.
Our room has this mouldy smell like an old house that has been empty for so long. Also, you could definitely feel you are inhaling dusts from the air! We tried to open the back door where the access to our plunge pool is to let some fresh air in, only to make it worse, we now let the mosquitoes having us for their buffet dinner. Plus, looking at the plunge pool with tons of dead leaves, bugs, and branches are floating, I'm 90% believe that I have made a wrong wrong wrong decision for staying here. The outdoor toilet and shower, really? Guys, what make you think it is pleasurable to do your business or showering in a dimmed spooky outdoor area?? I tried to kinda accept it and move on just to find my bedsheet linen was all worn out and has coarse fluffs all over it. But whatever! I'm just tired already, and need to catch some good sleep, which is so hard in this kinda conditions!
The next day we were awake tired from insufficient sleep as we could hear EVERYTHING from inside and outside our room! The fridge was constantly make noises and well helloooo... there were knocking from our dressing table which was literally next to my bed side! Were there some kinda spirits trying to communicate or something? I'd rather not to think about it, at all. We asked the the receptionist to replace the bedsheet while we're out for lunch, and we were back to find our bedsheet has been replaced with a better one. Nice! But still cant help the mouldy and dusty smell, though. Now I'm feeling unwell due to coughing constantly, itchy, sore and dry throat from the dirty feeling air in the room.
We tried the breakfast on our 2nd day staying here, only making me even more sure that I have 100% failed choosing the hotel this time! Limited choices, poor quality of food like this and flies are just all over the place!! It is not what I expected from a 4 stars international chain hotel. Now I can't do anything and stuck with another night here shattering my plan of 2nd year anniversary of our wedding expecting great experience, can I?
Seriously, as I am a hotelier my self, I have worked and came across many hotels as a guest from a budget hotel to many sophisticated high end luxury resorts all over countries around the world, I have never been so disappointed to a hotel as I am now. I had huge expectations on this hotel prior my arrival, but I guess I'm just one of many guests who are deceived by the online and brand images.
Please make changes! You guys can definitely do much better! Probably the corporate should visit here and do more trainings in order to enhance the services qualities.
