Let me first say this is by no means a bad hotel, so in spite of the negative critique I'm about to give, I do recommend this hotel for stays in Horsens city center. Unfortunately they seem to stop just short of the finish line in almost all aspects.
The rooms are quite modern, but then bathroom elements are old and out of order (see pic, apologies for the quality - it shows most of the water coming out of the hose assembly instead of out of the shower head).
The TV is very new and of decent quality, but they only have something like 10 channels of which only one is English and even the Danish selection is extremely poor.
The breakfast is generally above average in almost all aspects - with the exception of containers, which are plastic and so weightless, that they tremble to the floor at the slightest touch, if they are less than half full.
Parking is only a 100 meter walk behind the hotel, but nobody told me that street parking just outside the hotel was free in the period I stayed there (Sat-Sun).
Asking to check in 30 min. before normal check-in I was told I had to pay a € 13 fee (it is a per hour fee). Obviously it is their provocative to add this kind of charge, I'm just not used to it from 4 star hotels, not in Denmark nor other places in Europe or US. Out of principle I decided to find another way to check in later without paying the fee and they just ended up with a slightly less satisfied customer without making an additional profit.
What it all comes down to, it is not a bad hotel at all, but they just cut all the wrong corners when it comes to guest satisfaction (but perhaps exactly the right corners to call themselves a 4 star hotel). I will not claim, that I'll never come back, but I will give other hotels a go before making this my regular Horsens goto hotel.
One last thing. Normally I would have rated this a high 3 on the TA 5 point scale, but a very friendly staff in general and in particular a very pleasant night porter earned this hotel a 4 from me. less

I´m sorry that you where not 100% satisfied. We will do our best for that next time you stay with us.
We do know that not all our rooms are up to date. But we are working on it and we renovate one room at a time.
We will take a look of the channel selection.
I´m sorry nobody told you about the parking outside the hotel. Perhaps is was because you already had a parking space at our parking lot so they didn´t know you rather wanted to park outside.
We have check in at 2 o´clock pm and check out at 12 o´clock. Usually we can not give the rooms before time because cleaning only have 2 hours to make it ready. If it is ready when you arrives and it is not to long before chenck in you can of course get it for free. But if you ask some days before we vil take some Money each hour for it, because we can´t rent it out the day before then. Because of the check out time.
But I´m happy to hear you still think we earn our 4 stars and I hope very much to see you here at our hotel again.
