We are very sorry and distraught that it was not up to your epxectations and that you did not felt comfortable enough, please accept our most sincere apologies for it. The hotel has been offering its services to the public for quite some time but we assure you that the entire premises always have and receive excellent upkeeping and maintenance since our Brand has very high and strict quality standards which are closely monitored and folowed. We are very surprised about the smell in your room because something like that is unacceptable and is not supposed to happen due to our very high standards as we mentioned before. We assure you that if you had informed our front desk staff about all the issues you found in the room you were assigned, they would have been more than happy to immediately change you to another room. Once again, please accpet our most sincere apologies that your stay was not up to your expectations. We are very glad that you found our staff so attentive and friendly and our location so convenient (we are 15 minutes away from the airport and just 10 minutes away from downtown and from the country's best commercial and entertainment areas). We are truly sorry and distressed to learn that it was not upto your expectations and that you really felt disappointed with our staff's customer service. We ask you to please accept our most sincere apologies for it. We are very surprised to learn that there is a website advertising the hotel with free shuttle transportation to and from the airport since we do not offer that service for free. The fee which the transportation costs is $8 per person so we are also surprised that you were being charged $45 US for it. We assure you that it is totally unacceptable the way you were treated by the front desk staff since it goes completely against our hospitality philosophy and quality standards. We assure you that this is not going to be tolerated and that we will take immediate action to ensure that it will not happen again since there is nothing more important for us than our guests' total comfort and satisfaction. Once again, please accept our most sincere apologies for it. About what happened with your room, we are baffled that it smelled the way you described because both, our brand and our hotel have very high and strict standards regarding our facilities cleanliness and hygiene. We really hope that it was very pleasant since nothing is more important than our guests' total comfort and satisfaction. We are very saddened and distressed that the drinks offered in the restaurants located in our premises were not up to your expectations and that they kept providing straws with the drinks. Our hotel does not have any restaurants of its own even though there are two in the Irazu Complex. However, we are going to share with them your comments regarding their drinks and the straw issue so that they can take them into account. We are very happy to inform you that our hotel is certified for sustainable tourism by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute since we are so committed to our environment.
