I'm in the BW Rewards program, and we are supposed to be recognized and get a 'goodie bag' with maybe an apple, a granola bar, or cookie. Nothing - no recognition when my wife checked us in. I arrived later, and went down to the desk to discuss this. The clerk confirmed that the record showed my Rewards status, and then offered me one bottle of water. Apparently, my wife doesn't count. Try telling YOUR wife that....
The lobby was being renovated - furniture everywhere, some wrapped in plastic, some stacked up. Not appealing.
My wife asked for a handicapped room, and the one we got had a slight musty smell to it. The A/C worked, but loudly. I wasn't sure the carpet had been swept in a number of days because there were 'dust bunnies' under the edge of the bed. The bed itself felt firm and turned out to be OK.
The bathroom, however, was the issue. A handicapped shower in place, with a cracked surround at one corner, a hand shower that flowed only at a trickle just above a drip, and a fold-up seat whose cushion had separated from the frame and a thick dark layer of mold had formed in the separation. No tissues either, and no bath towels. We thought we could put up with it, however, as we were running late and had to go to our party very shortly after check-in.
Back to the front desk. I got a plastic package of tissues and two bath towels.
When morning came, we went down to breakfast, avoiding the shower. Served in a small room off the lobby, it was cramped and overflowing with guests at 7:30am. The food was 'standard' - pre-made omelets, heated up, ditto with sausages, a waffle iron and batter, fruit and cereal. Coffee and juice from machines. We found a table and noticed syrup residue on it, which we avoided.
Next morning, trying the shower just once, we again went down to breakfast and sat at the same table. Syrup residue was still present. Not appetizing. Not acceptable either.
And, just to add to the list, the hotel is about three miles from Midway Airport, but has no airport shuttle service. less

Thanks for writing a review. Please accept our apology for the complaints you list. You should have gotten your goodie bag, and the room issues shouldn't have been there. Your comments have been shared with the staff. We can only hope you'll give us another try.
