Had extreme rain in the pass and decided to find a BW sooner than Salem. Rolled in visibly drenched as a solo rider (aka: motorcyclist) and they welcomed me with a $135 room. When I said I'd move on to Grants Pass they came up with a $100 room. Ordered in a pizza and bought their onsite beer ($4.50 a can!) while waiting by laundry drying my clothes ($2.00 a load!). They weren't going to let me park the bike under the front awning (out of the driving rain) until I said I would have to move on to Grants Pass because my harley will not start the next morning after a night in the elements. Faced with me moving on, the conceded. The room was fine, but byob and because there's no nearby decent restaurants, plan to eat first. less
Brian P, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Inn at the Rogue, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to review the Inn at the Rogue.
On behalf of our entire team, we would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations.
We regret the misunderstanding when you arrived. We had noticed you were tired and wet from the road and thought a large room with a Jacuzzi tub might be just the thing for you. We are sorry you felt we were trying to take advantage of you, but this was not our intention.
As for restaurants in the area, there are some very good ones just across the river, in the town of Rogue River. Pisano’s for Italian is one of our guest’s favorites, as well as Tarasco’s for Mexican.
We hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.
The management and staff at the Best Western Inn at the Rogue.
