I did quite a bit of research into the various hotels available around the Coushatta. I was very surprised to read that this hotel was the #1 in the area, what with the casino having several options.
When I read the reviews of this hotel vice the casino hotels, that's when I made the call to stay here.
Arrival: The entry is a little tricky, but that's not the hotel's fault, to be sure. Just trying to warn the traveler upon their arrival.
Check-In: Flawless and quick.
Room: Very nice, very clean. No complaints about the decor. However, we were given a room that joins with the next room via a door. These doors are not sound proofed at all, it seems. The neighbor had their TV on all night, and I don't think it was on very loud, but we could almost make out what was playing. Fortunately, we're heavy sleepers. The TV was on all night, into the morning, but we didn't bother calling or complaining. FYI.
Service: The staff was very accommodating with our late wake up and departure for the day, cleaning the room in our absence after letting the front desk know.
Check-Out: Flawless and quick.
Didn't try the shuttle to the casino as I figured it'd be quicker to just walk across the parking lot. The weather was nice and I needed to stretch my legs anyway.
If there's a dim spot to eclipse the loud TV next door, it's this: I had inadvertently left a remote control for my computer in the room. When I called, the lady was very accommodating: locating the remote, ensuring that it would be mailed to me...although I should have re-confirmed my address, etc., with her, I didn't.
After a few days (5), I began to wonder, so I called back. The remote was still "on the manager's desk, he's been in meetings all week." It took another phone call (3 or 4 days) later to find out that it still hadn't been mailed. All told: nearly 2 weeks to get the thing.
I'd stay there again. Sure. Just FYI.
