We have stayed here many times when we go to the symphony at the Green Music Center. We have had mixed feelings in the past and certainly still do. To start, on check in I found the desk person fine but not particularly welcoming. However, we found our room had no glasses for the bathroom, called and someone delivered some within minutes.
The rooms are quite clean and comfortable. In the past they have put us in the back across from the laundry room that always has the door open and dryers going, carts outside the laundry room etc. The last two times we requested another location and were put upstairs near the front. The location was fine but on getting out of our car my husband stepped on a dirty used hypodermic needle. The motel is in a rather rundown area and a bit of trash is common on the property. I reported it to the front desk and she seemed totally disinterested but sent a maintenace man to get it. He picked it up barehanded and threw it in the trash. His attitude seemed like he finds those everyday on the property. Also, at 1:00AM we were awakened by what sounded like a hammer hitting a wall nail over and over. It woke us both up and went on for quite a while. Then there were slamming doors and loud noise from people walking and talking loudly in front of our room.
When my husband got home he couldn't find a set of keys that we know he took out of his pocket while in the room. They weren't in his bag when he got home so called them to inquire if any were found. They said no, which may be true but again they seemed to lack concern or interest and didn't ask to recheck the room which he had left earlier in that same day.
We will probably not return in the future. less
