I like the Best Western chain and the reason I stayed in this hotel was because there was no answer at the America's Best Value Inn (nextdoor) when I rang the night service doorbell 2X's. The Arkansas Tech nursing student behind the counter was very polite, very capable, and smart. The room, however, was very tired looking: the color palette was yellow and browns (ick), the carpeting was well worn and dirty looking, the mirror frame over the sink was coming apart, and the shower stall looked like something out of the '80's. There was a metal post outside which supports the upper deck of rooms that had been bent by a car or truck. The comp breakfast had canned fruit cocktail instead of fresh fruit, malted waffles + waffle maker, juices, coffee, tea, dried looking scrambled eggs, cereals, and the ubiquitous overly sweet pastries. The hotel is located off of I40 and is down the street from Arkansas Tech. The hotel area for this exit in Russellville is visually chaotic with all of the neon and lighted signs for the hotels and businesses that are on top of one another. Only positive I can give this hotel is that I slept well even though the bed coverings did not keep me warm. less

We certainly apologize that we did not meet your standards. The pole outside your room was bent because several days ago someone ran into it and the company we have contracted to fix it has not yet repaired it. This hotel is thirty plus years old and we have done our best to keep it up to specifications as possible. We have identified your room and will definitely look into the things you have discussed in your reply. We are also sorry you didn't enjoy the breakfast we provide. We normally get a lot of compliments on it. Please if there is anything we can do for you please let us know. We will try to do better next time. Thank you for staying with us.
