It is difficult to review this hotel because I don’t want to put bad experience but I should.
I was on a business trip and had to squeze in the 200 eur/night budget in downtown of Paris. I choosed this hotel due to the location and the rate was also good, 180.
My first impressions were quite bad, the hotel is very old and shabby, weird staff at the reception, check in was long.
I had some difficulties finding my room, I went to the very end of the corridor, then entered in a staircase and then another door only with two rooms. I was so pissed off, first I thought I got a room in a cleaning closet or something :)
Then magic happened and I found myself - I believe - in one of the best rooms of the hotel. Quite big and the frenc windows facing to Sace Coeur. The furnitures were old too and demaged in some parts, and there was a weird smell both in the room and in the bathroom. I think the smell was come from the used, damp cloth they use during cleaning process.
Fortunately the airco were working perfectly and the bed was very comfortable. Minibar and kettle was also for my service, as well as a free bottle of water.
The breakfast didn’t impressed me much with dry breads. One of the coffee machine stopped working so there was quite a line at the second one.
During check-in the lady was very nice and friendly, she helped me a lot leaving the hotel with positive feelings. less
