Visited here for 4 nights in May..... firstly the hotel is about 20 mins bus ride outside of the centre of Rome. A number 87 bus runs about every half hour down to the Colosseum. You need to purchase a a bus ticket for 1.5 euro at the reception desk and validate it on the bus at the ticket machine. The buses are full to bursting if you have a pushchair or children no way would they be suitable to travel on. The hotel itself is just a door on the street no ground level frontage just a boarded up shop covered in graffiti. On entering the hotel there are about 8 steps to climb before you reach the lift which takes you to reception. The lift only holds 2 people with luggage. Any one with mobility aids would struggle The staff where very nice and helpful. We had a twin room which was quite small 2 very small single beds, and a compact bathroom with shower over bath a sink toilet and a B Day. Our room over looked the main street, which is busy all day and night with heavy traffic the view from our room was the wheelie bins of the buildings opposite. The breakfast was a good selection of yogurts cereal, pastries fruit. Bacon eggs ham creame cheese. In the mornings there was a lot of waiting for lifts to get to the breakfast room as it was on the 8th floor and with the lifts being so small whenever the lift arrived at your floor it was usually full. The area around the hotel is quite run down and doesn't offer much in the way of places to visit in the evening for food. On the whole I felt the hotel was too far away from the centre of Rome, and in run down area.

Thank you for your review regarding your stay at Piccadilly on Tripadvisor.
I would particularly like to highlight some of the aspects you mentioned as some of your inaccurate could be misinterpreted by some TripAdvisor users.
The area where our Hotel is located is in the historic center of Rome, and with the nearby main metro line and the bus that stops in front of us, customers can reach all the squares and monuments of Rome.
Rome is the largest city in Italy, and the historic center is very large!
Moreover, we know that we have many customers for this reason, in the morning, to have breakfast, we also provide our second elevator, which probably has not seen.
Nearby our Hotel there are also innumerable quality and non-touristy restaurants for all tastes. If you wish to come back again we will be very happy to suggest you all the restaurants you need, and there are many!
We hope, in the future, to have the opportunity to change perception quality of our hotel.
