Just got back from a stay at this hotel and overall a nice place to relax and unwind, its classed as a 4star hotel but I think its really only a 3star building but the staff are definitely 5star. The bedrooms need updating as they look a bit tired, same with the bathroom although the sinks look new. The breakfast consists of small sausages, bacon, hash browns, scrambled and boiled eggs for a warm option or a cold option of cooked meats, cheese or fruit, plus a couple cereals also there's an espresso machine for coffee. The location of the hotel is ideally situated, the beach is just over the road and the rail station is about a five minute walk. We did get bitten by mosquitoes which we thought were coming out of the air vents as we didn't open the door on a night and were covered up when we went out. Overall a nice hotel to stay in to explore Barcelona and the surrounding areas, but do take a plug in mosquito repellent. less

thank you vey much for taking the time to leave a comment about your recent stay at the Best Western Hotel Mediterráneo in Castelldefels.
We always read carefully the comments because they help us to focus on the things we can do better.
I have appreciated very much the feedback about the employees and I will pass it into the entire team as I believe this will motivate them to keep doing what they are doing as they are on the right track.
On regards to the rooms, it may be that some of them looks old and this is why we are working on renewing the furniture. In the bathrooms, a lot of upgrades have been made and we are now planning investing on a refurbishment of the Bar and restaurant area.
My apologies for the mosquitos' bites, these are the kind of guests we don't want in the hotel but they keep coming even if we spray every day twice a day in all the areas.
Hoping you left with a nice memory of your stay and we hope to have you back in the next future after the refurbishment.
