We didn't know when we booked that there is apparently a new owner, according to the signs around the hotel, and it is being upgraded. 5 hours after we arrived and left our luggage, we were somewhat surprised to be given a room where another family were still in residence! Given another room, very small, adequate, but no drawers or shelves to put your clothes, the 1 hanger width wardrobe was stuffed wirh duvets and pillows, no air conditioning, just a fan. We left the windows open the first night but after hours of motorbikes and boy racers, had to close it at 4am, and just sweat! Tiny bathroom, but clean and modern, with facecloths etc. Room servicing was a bit hit and miss. BUT, the staff were so helpful, brought whatever you asked for, breakfast was fresh with lots of continental choices, in a new basement, done on a submarine theme. Great location for ile de machines, cathedral, chateau, restaurants, etc and tram nearby but most places walkable with 20 minutes. Hundreds of refugees in tents in the park at the bottom of the street but not s problem. less

Thank you for your review. It's true that last summer was a bit complicated for us. The weather was very hot and our works for the air conditionner, even if finished, were not yet approved by the city and the "French Buildings Architects". We are sorry that your arrival was a bit messy, summer is also the time for Holidays and we had several new employees who were not as efficient as our usual team.
We hope you'll have another occasion to experience our hotel.
Best regards.
