This month I went on a walking holiday in the Cévennes. So, I needed a hotel situated close to the train station for the sake of convenience. For this, Eurociel was well placed to fit the job and had done more than satisfied the criteria. As it is close to the historical centre with its pleasant pedestrianised area.
At first, I showed some apprehensions regarding its proximity to the train lines and tramway. I feared for my night's sleep and the tranquility. But, the double glazed sound proofing system has dispelled any worries. At times, a passing train sent some indistinctive tremors, but they were barely a subject for discomfort.
Along my stay, I have felt myself properly supported and assisted with all the queries my worrying self could have come about. Home rules were immediately explained and in entering the hotel room, on the screen I saw my name showing together with some technical details like wifi code. In the room, there was enough literature to act as a reminder of all the discussed home rules (hour and location for breakfast, services offered, booking airport transfer) as well as other suggestions as is the case with dining. In the hotel lobby, there is an ample array of promotional leaflets about the regional attractions. I have also appreciated the possibility of checking out the eve prior to your departure.
The room is of the right size and is functional. Another thing worth pointing out is that the bathroom is separated from the rest room. On the contrary, I would have preferred if the bathroom was less open. The design was contemporary and functional, with ample space for storing things and belongings. The room came equipped with a minibar, safe, tv screen, hair dryer ... And if the pictures on the wall weren't local, the view from the window couldn't have managed better. I had the rooftops of the Ecusson (Montpellier's historic centre) to admire.
Last but certainly not least, I have to mention the breakfast. It starts to be served as early as 7 o' clock and the choice and the supply on offer are sure to guarantee you with a proper start of the day. less
