This hotel is perfectly clean and brasses are polished (I love clean brasses). It is also in an excellent location for exploring Cornwall. At first, and certainly on arrival in our bedroom, I noted that the decor was rather old fashioned and wondered whether I had made the right decision. However, after staying for 5 nights, my view changed and I would certainly return. I can only compliment the staff team for whom nothing was too much trouble. On one morning when I was doing some studying, I was able to use a desk in a quiet room and had uninterrupted wifi. I was even brought morning coffee and biscuits which was most welcome!
Having free parking (at the rear of the hotel) was a bonus as many hotels in this area charge.
Our room, on the second floor, overlooked the beach and I was in awe of the fantastic view.
I thought that the breakfast charge (£14) was a little steep when I only had a coffee, one weetabix and some scrambled egg on toast. However, I appreciate that some people eat more than this.
Thank you for a lovely relaxing break. We hope to see you again! less
