We visit Hobart on a regular basis for business & pleasure, we've been trying a few different places out, we won't go back here. We don't expect luxury for this price but we do like to be reasonably comfortable, i.e, we don't want to charge our lap top or boil the kettle on the floor in the corner of the room. We booked the King room with balcony. Thankfully the bed was comfortable, but not much after that. No desk, no lounge chairs, as advertised that attracted us to this property. There were 2 cheap looking dining chairs to sit on at a small table in the middle of room. We had to charge our lap top on the floor in the corner where the only power point was, there are empty spaces where furniture once was. My husband went to boil the kettle on the floor in the corner as it was the only accessible power point in the room. Until he realised he could do it in the pokey bathroom beside the toilet. That's OK if you are staying in cheap budget motel. Parking is uncomfortable down a very steep, boom-gated driveway, parking spots are limited, meaning you drive around and have to reverse back when nothing is available in that bay, and costs an extra $10 per day. The balcony is useless with only standing space along side a huge air-conditioning box. On the second floor you hear a lot of traffic noise and we were woken by loud conversations at 2.30 am in the car park below our room. I had to stand on a chair to re-hook the curtains. We have visited Hobart 3 times this month and for the same price you can get way better accommodation. less
