We recently stayed at the Best Western in Deadwood and had nothing but problems! The rate was changed from the original reserved rate when we went to check in, then again when we checked out of the hotel! I've never had a hotel change a rate like this!! Not only did they jack the rate, the owner refused to talk to us about the sudden rate increase. In addition to the ridiculous price increases, the showers were COLD, pillows old and worn, staff was grumpy and refused to provide extra towels, and heater was temperamental! Stay somewhere, ANYWHERE else!!!! less

I would like to start by apologizing for not exceeding your expectations. I do understand that when you encounter problems it takes away from your enjoyment.
I would like to address the concerns you mentioned.
When you made your reservation you made it for two people to be in the room, you did have four guests in the room. Our rates are based on occupancy as well as room type. You also changed the dates of your reservation which also has an effect on your rates.
Our staff was trying to do the best they could to make your stay pleasant.
Our maintenance department had to remove a toilet to get a washcloth out of the drain line that the male guests in your room told them they accidently flushed don the toilet.
During our many interactions with you while you were with us we were never told about the shower not being hot, nor did you let us know of the other complaints you have listed.
Our staff was readily available to help you with all your needs and concerns you had mentioned to us.
We understand that you will choose other lodging when you are in Deadwood however we hope that you will still consider Best Western Hotels for you future lodging needs in the future.
I am again very sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations and hope that the New Year is kind to you.
