Failure to refund CC deposit due to coronavirus cancellation

We reserved a room with Hibiscus in January for an April trip. Our credit card was charged one night's rate as a deposit. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our reservation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Our cancellation date was 3/18, and we received email confirmation of the cancellation, including this wording: "Your deposit has been refunded today."
To date, April 1, there has been no credit to our credit card.
We have called the Hibiscus Inn repeatedly, and have been told that they have our information, and to give them "a couple of days" to see it appear on our CC statement.
It has not yet appeared.

We apologize. Coronavirus affects everything. Refunds are processed as they are received. Unfortunately they are taking longer than normal to appear on your statement. There are thousands of these credits issued by all sorts of businesses each day so not only are we affected, but the credit card companies and banks are affected. We are so sorry for the delay. Your money will be returned to you. We are doing our best in this awful time. Please bear with us. We appreciate your patience. Thank you for posting and we hope you and yours are healthy and safe.
